Text

Audi tellus audi magni maris nynbus
audi omne quod vivit sub sole.

Huius mundi decus et gloria
quam sint falsa quam transitoria.

Contestantur hec temporalia
non in uno statu manencia.

Nichil enim regalis dignitas
nichil valet corporis quantitas.

Nil arcium profunditas
nil valet diis falsa divinitas.

Nullum salvat genus nec species
nulli prodest auri congeries.

Transit enim rerum materies
ut liquescit a sole glacies.

Ubi Plato ubi Ponpeius
ubi Porus ubi Porphiryus.

Ubi Cesar ubi Virgilius
ubi Flaccus aut ubi Darius.

Alexander rex ubi maximus
aut Achilles ubi magnanimus.

Cum Elena Paris pulcherimus
ubi Hector Troum fortissimus.

Transierunt legem mortalium
per unius diei spacium.

Sed tu deus rector fidelium
fac te Christe nobis propicium

cum de malis fiat iudicium.

Quando celi movendi sunt et terra.
